From Uncommon Farms

A quarter acre, and a lot of plans

Uncommon Jars is Crystal and her husband, a home kitchen in Arkansas, and a garden that's still growing into itself.

A red lily blooming in Crystal's garden.

We grow apples, figs, and stone fruit alongside peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, cucumbers, asparagus, and beans. The orchard is young — not old enough yet to fill a jar.

So for now we buy the best fruit we can find, and grow a little more of our own each season. Next year we move to the farm we're building in Springfield, and chickens and goats will be joining us.

How it's made

Small batches, real hands

Whole fruit

Whole fruit and fresh juice. Never concentrate, never corn syrup.

By hand, in batches

Cooked in small pots, ladled by hand, and sealed one jar at a time.

Tested every batch

Acidity checked with a calibrated meter, and every batch numbered and recorded.
